McCain finally found his balls

A year too late

Making a stand and proposing an amendment to strip 32 billion dollars from the omnibus budget bill that the Senate rubber-stamped recently, John McCain is showing a set of conservative cojones he lost back in 02 when he co-sponsored McCain-Feingold.

Sadly, the bill was shot down like a one-winged duck, 63-32. I'm pissed because the (usually) fiscally responsible senators representing Alabama, Sessions and Shelby, voted Nay and abstained, respectively. Way to inspire confidence in your base, assholes.
