One year after, blah blah blah...

Shut the Fuck Up and Find a Hammer

In these parts, the local networks, to say nothing of the Weather Channel, Discovery, et al. are permanently jammed in "Katrina: One Year After" mode. One more day of post-hurricane journalistic navel-gazing and I'm going to start research to invent a rain dance for another hurricane to finish off 'Nawlins once and for all. Apologies in advance to my neighbors for the future, semi-naked, body-painted back-yard whooping and hollering. Don't send for the big guys with the strait jacket just yet.

UPDATE:To clarify: New Orleans and the Biloxi/Gulfport area would be far better served by positive reinforcement than the continual day-in-and-out finger-pointing. Every proposal for New Orleans cleanup (dump sites, HAZMAT handling, etc.) is challenged in court by environmental activists and their ideological fellow-travelers who, in the most breathtaking hypocrisy I have ever witnessed, continue to blame FEMA/the current sitting Administration for the lack of rebuilding/repopulation progress. Lots of petty issues over hazardous materials and wetlands encroachment, I suppose. Shut the fuck up, stop resorting to duplicitous dirty tricks to create political capital, and let New Orleans get about the business of rebuilding. If not, pray for the entire rotten mess to be annihilated and relegated to the dustbin of history.

Rope.
Tree.
Environut.
Some assembly required.
